First Visit

Your first appointment will be a 1 hour consultation and treatment to enable your osteopath to:

Initial consultation to gather your case history, formulate a treatment plan and explain what has gone wrong and why.

  1. A detailed case history

  2. Physical examination

  3. Working diagnosis and explanation

  4. Hands-on treatment

  5. If the osteopath discovers or suspects a problem, which requires further medical investigation, you may be referred to your GP and the osteopath will work in co-operation with them.

  6. “Maintenance” treatments are highly recommended for the prevention of symptoms and pain management. This promotes the concept of “wellness” as opposed to merely the absence of pain. Maintenance treatments are designed to catch the problem before it causes pain again and to reinforce your “self management” plan.

Cancellations

Please give of 24 hours or longer notice of cancellation so patients in need can be contacted. A fee may be charge for late cancellations and missed appointments.
